KIMU Joinery has over 35 years of combined knowledge and skills across 3 countries and a drive to succeed, this young and vibrant team at Kimu have set their goal – to be the most sought after cabinetmaking company in South East Queensland.
The Kimu team has a wide range of experience in residential, industrial and commercial projects, working closely with builders, designers and architects. At the heart of this new and exciting company are Company Directors – Aussie, Brad Hill and Kiwi, Regan Mackay.
Brad and Regan worked together in London during 2005/06 where they shared a dream to one day establish their own Cabinetmaking business. After re-uniting in Brisbane in 2010 they planned to make that dream a reality by launching Kimu Joinery.
Brad moved to the city when he finished school in search of more opportunities. He obtained his trade certificate in Sydney with a reputable cabinet making company and has never looked back. Over the last 18 years Brad has developed a wide range of skills in all aspects of cabinetmaking and joinery, from quoting and manufacture to installation and invoicing.
Regan obtained his trade certificate in Auckland, New Zealand. He has over 18 years experience in site measuring and producing cutting lists. This ranges from work drawings and plans, machining, assembly and installation, hotel fit outs, and shop fit outs. He specialized in producing top quality furniture with one of the leading London Design and Furniture outlets, William Yeoward.
Regan worked as a project manager in Christchurch where he was responsible for the production operation and contract management. This role had him working closely with architects, discussing their ideas and concepts and then putting them into production.
